Wedding FAQWho may be married at The Chapel? Men and women who desire to establish a Christian marriage and home. They seek to make Jesus Christ not only their Savior but their Lord also. Consequently, we marry those couples who 1. Have a personal faith in Jesus Christ and desire to establish a home built on the principles of God’s Word, the Bible. 2. Are members or active attendees of The Chapel for at least six (6) months prior to contacting the church for a wedding date. 3. Honor God’s standard of sexual purity throughout their dating and engagement. 4. Participate in the premarital counseling prescribed by The Chapel which includes, but is not limited to,
What does The Chapel provide? 1. Facilities for your wedding rehearsal and ceremony including appropriate places for the wedding party to dress. 2. A qualified minister to perform the ceremony. The determination of the pastor will be made 30 days prior to the wedding date. What is the cost for the use of The Chapel facilities and the services of the church staff for our wedding? All of the provisions above are considered a ministry of The Chapel to its members and attendees and are offered without charge or financial obligation. Contact Mark Clough, Associate Pastor, 625-6200, ext. 235. Are there any other limitations? Yes. 1. Weddings are scheduled 11 months in advance or less. 2. Weddings are not scheduled on the weekends of holidays. 3. The Chapel reserves the right to schedule more than one wedding per day. 4. Each wedding is allotted a four-hour block of time. All decorating of the church, wedding photographs, ceremony, and clean-up must take place during that time. 5. The wedding rehearsal is scheduled the evening before the wedding ceremony. 6. Musical instruments and other equipment on the stage may neither be removed or rearranged. 7. When the auditorium is decorated for a special service or holiday season, those decorations may not be removed or rearranged in any manner. 8. Smoking is prohibited in the building. 9. Dancing is not permitted in the building. 10. Alcoholic beverages may not be possessed or consumed in the building or on the grounds of The Chapel. 11. No rice, birdseed, aerosol string, biodegradable confetti, etc. are permitted in The Chapel building or on church grounds. May we have our wedding reception at The Chapel also? Yes. However, due to the size of our church and the number of ministries that use common facilities, the following guidelines have been established for the scheduling of receptions. 1. The reception may be scheduled five (5) months in advance or less. A fee of $300.00 will be due at the time of scheduling. 2. The reception is held in the Gym and Tower Foyer. 3. The reception ends by 4:00 p.m. 4. All decorations, equipment, and personal items are removed immediately after the reception. Nothing may be stored during the weekend. The Chapel is not responsible for anything left in the building. 5. Limitations 6-11 (above) apply to the reception as well as the wedding. When may I schedule our wedding?
